F.R. Line Pier is a 10-acres central waterfront facility, highlighted by a 96,000-sq. ft. terminal building.

Currently, a major source of activity for the port is importing and exporting various household goods and vehicles to Cape Verde, Azores, Brazil and Haiti. Along with its port activities, the port has developed a strong transportation infrastructure. It has direct, on-dock connections to three rail tracks for freight shipping. Utilizing the port's truck terminal and storage facilities, the port is easily accessible to major metropolitan areas via Route 24 (Boston) and I-195 (New York, Providence and Cape Cod). The dock facility includes two berths of 27-ft. draft at MLW: the first, the South berth, is 600' long and the second, the West berth, is 400' long.
